Solve for x. 2 1/2 x−3/4(2x+5)=3/8 ​

A:x=−4 5/8

B:x=−3 3/8

C:x=4 /1/8 ​ ​

D:x=5 3/8 ​

First, convert all of the fractions to decimals:
2.5x - .75 (2x + 5) = .375
Then distribute the parenthesis:
2.5x - 1.5x + 3.75 = .375
Subtract the 1.5x:
1x + 3.75 = .375
Subtract 3.75 from both sides:
1x = -3.375
Convert back to fraction:
1x = -3 375/1000
Simplify:
X = -3 3/8
