Hydrogen peroxide is sometimes used on superficial wounds. although it is not a very good antiseptic, it is good for dirty wounds. explain why this is so

In its purest form, it is a disinfectant. It can help to clean and prevent infection quickly. This is kept at hand and in many medicine cabinets for this reason. Even if a wound or cut has dirt mixed with blood it will help and is better than just water.
