You have set up a webpage for your company. your logo took up 2/7 of your allotted space on the main page and the location information takes up 1/10 of the allotted space on a page. how much more space did the logo use than the location information? please express your answer as a fraction and percent.

So we want to find how much more space the logo took up.

So just subtract the location info from the logo space.

2/7 - 1/10

To subtract, you just want to find a common denominator. In this case it would be 70.

2/7 * 10/10 - 1/10 * 7/7

20/70 - 7/70

Then just subtract.

13/70

So that's the fraction. For the percent, just divide.

13/70 = 0.186 ish

Or, 18.6% ish
