Paper is made from wood pulp. Wood pulp is a lignocellulosic material came from the extraction of fibers of the wood. The extraction process can either be mechanically or chemically. Wood basically contains lots of cellulose which is the reason why it is much thicker and stronger than the food we eat even though both are under the same group. Thus, a paper comprises of carbohydrate called CELLULOSE.
