so she has monday-friday (5 days) to iron 40 shirts. 40 divided by 5 = 8. Lenox irons 8 shirts per day. Thursday and Friday are 2 days, so you multiply 8 by 2 which equals 16.
40 divided by 5 = 8. 8 x 2 = 16
