Answer:

A physical quantity which is described completely by its magnitude only, is called a scalar quantity.

Examples- Velocity ,Temperature, Speed

Properties

  • Scalar quantity does not have directions.
  • It has magnitude only
  • It does not have direction
  • It is specified by a number and a unit
  • It is represented by quantity symbol

It has only magnitude of body and not indicate the direction of body.Example. electric potential force.
