Just multiply :
2 1/2•3 1/4=

2.5•3.25=

8.125 = 8 1/8

Answer:

8(1)/(8) L

Explanation:

A recipe of chicken soup calls for chicken stocks =
2(1)/(2) L

Josh makes
3(1)/(4) times the recipe

=
3(1)/(4) ×
2(1)/(2)

=
(13)/(4) ×
(5)/(2)

=
(65)/(8)

=
8(1)/(8)

Josh would use
8(1)/(8) L of chicken stocks.
