Y = 2/3x + 14/3
The slope is from the slope formula and you can substitute points to find b.

Answer: Our equation in point-slope form is

(2x)/(3)+(14)/(3)

Explanation:

Since we have given that

there are two points i.e.

(8,10)\ and\ (-4,2)

Equation of point slope form :

y-y_0=m(x-x_0)\\\\where,\\\\m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

So, we will first calculate slope of tangent i.e. m

m=(2-10)/(-4-8)\\m=(-8)/(-12)\\m=(2)/(3)

So, equation of line in point-slope form is

(y-10)=(2)/(3)(x-8)\\\\3(y-10)=2(x-8)\\\\3y-30=2x-16\\\\3y-2x=-16+30\\\\3y-2x=14\\\\y=(2x)/(3)+(14)/(3)

Hence, our equation in point-slope form is

(2x)/(3)+(14)/(3)
