Among the implications of defective collagen fibers is the deterioration of the skin cells. It gets flaky, inflamed, and more prone to sun damage. A lot of times, collagen deficiency disorders are called Joint Disorders because joint mobility depends on the function of these collagen fibers. It can even cause heart diseases by contributing to its arterial behavior and its capacity for relaxation
