143 divided by 2 = 71.5
71.5 - .5 = 71
.5 + .5 = 1
71 + 1 = 72
So the answer is 71 and 72

a + a + 1 = 143
2a + 1 = 143
2a = 142
a = 71
b = 71 + 1
b = 72
check;
71 + 72 = 143
143 = 143
so your answer is
71 and 72.
hope this helps, God bless!
