How do i solve for x when the alternate exterior angles are 42x+4 and 43x+1?

We know that the alternate exterior angles have the same measure.

In this case, we can write it like this:


\begin{gathered} 42x+4=43x+1 \\ 4-1=43x-42x \\ 3=x \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Then, the value of x is 3.
