A desert is an area exhibiting hot and dry climatic conditions. A desert is a biome which exhibit low precipitation rate as a result of this it possess low diversity of life forms. Marsh is a wetland that is situated near the edges of lakes and streams. Marshes form a transition regions between aquatic and terrestrial regions. The availability of water in the marshes supports the life of many life forms.

Hence, on comparing a desert to a marsh, a desert has more biodiversity than a marsh.
