Wouldn't she divide 2020 and 77?

Answer:

Elaine should use the calculation
w = (L)/(r)=(2020)/(77)yards to find the width of each row of flowers

Explanation:

Total length of garden , L= 2020 yards

Number of rows of flowers to be accommodated , r= 77 rows

Let the width of each row be w yards then

L=w* r

=>
w = (L)/(r)=(2020)/(77)yards=26.234 yards

Thus Elaine should use the calculation
w = (L)/(r)=(2020)/(77)yards to find the width of each row of flowers
