How many solutions does the equation 5x+17=4 (3x-1) have?

This equation has only one solution. And it is as followed,

5x+17=4 (3x-1)

5x+17=12x (-4 )

5x-12x+17=-4

-7x =-17-4

- 7x = -21

7x = 21

x = 21/7

x = 3
