Brian may have felt sad that his family was splitting up; many children face this hardship in times of divorce. He may have been feeling a little worried as to only be living with one parent, or having to go back and forth between his parents. He may have also been feeling a little guilty; unfortunately many children in the middle of divorce often blame themselves.
