Greetings!

Solve for x.

2/3(3x+9)=-2(2x+6)
Distribute the Parenthesis.

2/3*3/1x+2/3*9/1=-2*2x-2*6
Simplify.

6/3x+18/3=-4x-12
Reduce.

2x+6=-4x-12
Add 12 to both sides.

(2x+6)+12=(-4x-12)+12
Simplify.

2x+18=-4x
Subtract both sides by 2x.

(2x+18)-2x=(-4x)-2x
Simplify.

18=-6x
Divide both sides by -6.

(18)/-6=(-6x)/-6
Simplify.

-3=x

x=-3

Hope this helps.
