Solve for d.

1/6d + 2/3 = 1/4(d-2)
Distribute the Parenthesis.

1/6d + 2/3 = 1/4*d+1/4*-2

1/6d + 2/3 = 1/4d+1/4*-2/1

1/6d + 2/3 = 1/4d-2/4
Reduce.

1/6d + 2/3 = 1/4d-1/2
Add -2/3 to both sides.

(1/6d + 2/3)+(-2/3)=(1/4d-1/2)+(-2/3)
Simplify.

1/6d=1/4d-3/6-4/6

1/6d=1/4d-7/6
Add -1/4d to both sides.

(1/6d)+(-1/4d)=(1/4d-7/6)+(-1/4d)
Simplify.

2/12d)-3/12d=-7/6

-1/12d=-7/6
Divide both sides by -1/12.

(-1/12d)/-1/12=(-7/6)/-1/12
Simplify.

d=(-7/6)*-12/1

d=84/6
Reduce.

d=14/1

d=14
