Solve –2 + x > 10 using the properties of inequalities.

Using the properties of inequalities:
Subtract -2 from each side of the inequality -2 + x > 10
Remember -2 - -2 becomes -2 + 2 = 0 - -2 + x > --2
10 - -2 becomes 10 + 2 =12 0 + x > 12
So the final solution would be x > 12.
Therefore x would have to be all numbers greater than 12.
