the unit rate would be 3.5 miles an hour, if he did 7 laps in 30 minutes (1.75 miles, i got that by multiplying 1/4 by 7) and you needed to find the unit rate you would have to multiply by 2 because 30 minutes goes into 1 hour twice. so 1.75*2 is 3.5 miles in 1 hour
