Let f(x) = 3x + 5 and g(x) = x^2. Find g(x)/f(x) and state its domain

g(x)/f(x) = x^2 / (3x + 5)
set denominator equals 0.
so
3x + 5 = 0
3x = -5
x = -5/3

Therefore x cannot equal -5/3

Domain (-
∞ , -5/3) ∪ (-5/3, ∞)

hope it helps
