Question 1

Shape WXYZ is dilated to form the image W'X'Y'Z' and the image is not inverted, so the scale factor is not
Line WX is shortened to get the line W'X'
Line WX has been shortened by scale factor = ¹⁵/₁₈ = ⁵/₆

Answer: Third option

Notice that the image is larger than the original shape
We can take a pair of corresponding sides (refer to the first diagram attached below)

Take side AC and A'C'
Side AC = 2 units
Side A'C' = 6 units

Side AC has been dilated by scale factor of 6÷ 2 = 3
