Which equation will you use to calculate the volume of a 5.00 liter sample of air at 50°C when it is warmed to 100°C at constant pressure?

I believe it's a proportion of volume over temperature = volume and temperature. cross multiply and divide and see what u get. if it looks right go fro it if not try something else. I hope this helps!

Answer : The final volume of gas will be, 5.77 liters

Explanation :

Charles' Law : It is defined as the volume of the gas is directly proportional to the temperature of the gas at constant pressure and number of moles.


V\propto T

or,


(V_1)/(V_2)=(T_1)/(T_2)

where,


V_1 = initial volume of gas = 5.00 L


V_2 = final volume of gas = ?


T_1 = initial temperature of gas =
50^oC=273+50=323K


T_2 = final temperature of gas =
100^oC=273+100=373K

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the final volume of the gas.


(5L)/(V_2)=(323K)/(373K)


V_2=5.77L

Therefore, the final volume of gas will be, 5.77 liters
