Fleurette is using the date and time function on her computer but is having an issue because the date is incorrect. What is the root cause of this problem?

There are several possibilities: it could have been configured wrong, she could be using time.windows.com for NTP (Network Time Protocol) or the battery on the motherboard died and every time the machine is unplugged the date resets to it's zero point (this would keep the machine from booting until the firmware was corrected).
