Answer:

A. Every 2 or 3 hours for 20–30 minutes at a time for the first 24–48 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Ice is widely used in muscle injuries and pain. Ice has been used to treat muscle aches and injuries as it aids in pain relief. Coaches have been pointing to ice for decades, however, it is important to remember that using the ice incorrectly can make the situation worse or have no effect. For this reason, coaches and sportsmen around the world believe that in the case of an injured leg, the ideal is to apply an ice stone every 2 to 3 hours for 20 to 30 minutes for the first 24 to 48 hours.
