I think you mean
(5^(-1))/(5^0)

ok, know some stuff

x^0=1 for all real values of x

x^(-m)=(1)/(x^m)

so


(5^(-1))/(5^0)=

((1)/(5^1))/(5^0)=

((1)/(5))/(5^0)=

((1)/(5))/(1)=

(1)/(5)

it results in 1/5


or, we could have done

(x^m)/(x^n)=x^(m-n) and

x^(-m)=(1)/(x^m)
so

(5^(-1))/(5^0)=5^(-1-0)=5^(-1)=(1)/(5^1)=(1)/(5)



the result is
(1)/(5)
