Why do we cook food (use in biology digestive forms)

I'm gonna use the example of meat. When raw, meat contains tons of bacteria, that can easily get you sick with food poisoning of all sorts, most commonly salmonella. When we cook the meat, we're cooking out the bad bacteria. Hope this helps!
