How might the complaints of a peasant and a merchant compare during the revolution

People would most likely listen to merchants for their power and wealth, rather than peasants who are poorer and held less power.

During the revolution, just like during any other conflict, the complaints of a peasant and the complaints of a merchant would be very different. During this conflict, a peasant would most likely have complained about the rich classes. He might complain about local matters more than national ones, and particularly those related to agriculture. On the other hand, a merchant might have more of an international outlook. He would be bothered by issues in a larger scale. He also would have cared more about matters such as trade and infrastructure.
