a (b)/(c) = (ac+b)/(c)



(4 x 8 + 7)/(8) = <strong> (39)/(8) <--- Answer

The answer is 39/8. You had to multiply 4 by the denominator, you'd get 32; and add the numerator. which would get you 39. Simply place the 39 over 8, the denominator, and Voila! you get 39/8
