y - y1 = m (x - x1)

where m is the slope and (x1 , y1) is the point given

m = -2
and the point is (4,-3)

then:

y +3 = -2 (x - 4)

y+3 = -2x + 8

y = -2x + 5

y = mx +b

m = slope = -2

solve for 'b' using given point (4,-3)
x = 4
y = -3

-3 = (-2)(4) + b \\ \\ -3 = -8 +b \\ \\ 5 = b

Equation of the line:

y = -2x +5
