Iran is located east of Iraq, and shares its western border with other countries including Turkey and Iraq. Part of its northern shoreline is on the Caspian Sea and shares some of it with Turkmenistan. Afghanistan is located west of Afghanistan. Iran also shares some of its border with Pakistan. Iran has southern shoreline on the Persian Gulf.
