9x - 2y = 64 If a line is parallel to another line, then it has the same slope. Which means that the desired equation will have the form 9x - 2y = ? So let's plug in the values for the point (6,-5) and calculate what the constant should be. 9*6 - 2*(-5) = ? 54 + 10 = ? 64 = ? So the desired equation will be 9x - 2y = 64
