1. When the government regulates supply and demand, it also regulates prices. In a capitalist economy, prices are determined by market competition. The government sets the prices for goods and services in a communist economy. 2. CAPITALISM focuses on the Principle of Individual Rights, whereas COMMUNISM focuses on the Principle of Community Rights. 3. Capitalism is an economic system in which private individuals own and control the economy's trade and industry in order to generate profit. Communism is a social system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by the community and each individual's share is determined by his ability and needs. 4.Capitalism favors class distinction, i.e. the working and capitalist classes, and thus the degree of class distinction between them the disparity between rich and poor is enormous. On the contrary, communism opposes class divisions in society because it promotes a classless society in which there is no gap between rich and poor.
