Why does Haemon visit his father, Creon?

The reason why Haemon had visited his father, Creon, was because of the reason that he want to advice his father in regards of not having to kill Antigone but after hearing what Haemon said, Creon still decided to kill Antigone but he did not kill Haemon.

I believe Haemon visits his father, Creon, to ask him not to execute Antigone. Haemon was in love with Antigone, and his father, the ruler, decided to have her killed because of a wrong thing she did. She disobeyed his orders which is why he thought it was his duty to execute her, however, his son disagreed with the decision.
