|-9x| = 64
-9x will become 9x
9x = 64
x = 64/9

Since -9x is absolute it would turn into 9x because anything in absolute form turns into a positive. Then, you're left with 9x=64 so you divide both sides by 9 and you end up with x=7.11 . I hope this helped!
