Set the IV for 12.0 mL/h for 75 minutes

convert 75 minutes ---> hour

\begin{gathered} 60\min -\longrightarrow1hr \\ 75\min \longrightarrow x \\ x=(75)/(60)=1.25hr \end{gathered}

The medication at 8am =

(12mL)/(h)*1.25h=15mL

convert 100 minutes ---> hour

\begin{gathered} 60\min -\longrightarrow1hr \\ 100\min \longrightarrow x \\ x=(100)/(60)=1.67hr \end{gathered}

The medication at 4pm =

(15mL)/(h)*1.67h=25mL

Therefore

(a) The patient will recieve total medication of 15mL+25mL = 40mL

(b) The unit symbol for your answer = millilitres
