2 quarters....5 dimes....total of (5 + 2) = 7 coins

ratio of quarters to total number of coins...
so we have how many quarters ?....there are 2
and what is the total of coins ?...it is 7
so the ratio is 2:7 or 2 to 7 or 2/7 <===

with these types of problems u have to pay close attention to the wording...because if it wanted the ratio of dimes to total coins, it would be 5:7.....and if it wanted ratio of quarters to dimes, it would be 2:5....so just pay close attention to the wording
