Write the equation of the line in standard form when the slope is -7 and the line goes through

(-2, 5). Graph the line.

The best fit for this equation would be a point slope form, which is (y-y)=m(x-x), where m is the slope and the second y and x variables are a point.
So all we need to do is input them in!
(y-5)=-7(x+2)
Some explanations here:
Why is the 5 and 2 in those places? Why aren't they backwards?
That is because the x number should always go with the x variable and the same with y.
Why is 2 positive?
It is very hard to explain, but the number becomes a positive when the number is negative. It's just how it works. Ask Einstein.
