Evaluate -5.118 - (-4.1)

Please explain this to me? Every time I do it, I get it wrong.

two negatives = one positive, and so

-( -4.1) really means 4.1

-5.118 +4.1 or 4.1 - 5.118 (just subtract)

After subtracting 4.1 - 5.118, you will get -1.018
