Well since h(x) = 5 and h(x) = 2x+1, we know that 5 = 2x+1. Now we just solve.

5 = 2x+1
4 = 2x
2 = x

We can check this by putting x = 2 in the original equation.

5 = 2(2)+1 Which is true.
