A painter painted about a half a room in a half day. Coley estimated the painter would paint 7 rooms in 7 days. Cole's estimate reasonable?

Basic math can easily solve this. If the painter paints half a room a day or 0.5 an you then multiply this by 7 days so 0.5x7=3.5, you get 3.5. So if the painter only did half a room a day he would only complete 3.5 rooms, so half the rooms in 7 days.Therefore, yes his estimate is correct, because 3.5+3.5=7 days

How are you doing? Referring to your question, of course, we see that the painter paints half a room in half a day. We want to find the base of this operation. So, we have to figure out how many rooms he paints in one full day. If he paint half a room in half a day, he then must paint a room in one whole day. So we know the following:

\left \{ {{Rooms Painted=1} \atop {Days Taken=1}} \right.

Which leads on. We multiply that one day by seven, and funny enough:

1 x 7 = 7 which means his guess is reasonable. Do you get what I am saying? If so, your answer is True, have a great day!
