In this question, we have to find the missing value in a dilution situation, the formula of dilution is:

M1*V1 = M2*V2

For letter A, we have:

M1 = 3.0 M of NaCl

V1 = ?

M2 = 0.5 M of NaCl

V2 = 600 mL

Now we add these values into the formula:

3 * V1 = 0.5 * 600

V1 = 100 mL, this if for LETTER A

For letter B, we have:

M1 = 2.5 M of MgSO4

V1 = ?

M2 = 0.2 M

V2 = 1.0 L or 1000 mL

Now we add these values into the formula:

2.5 * V1 = 0.2 * 1000

V1 = 80 mL, this is for LETTER B

For letter C, we have:

M1 = 4.8 M KNO3

V1 = ?

M2 = 0.2 M

V2 = 80 mL

Now we add these values into the formula:

4.8 * V1 = 0.2 * 80

V1 = 3.33 mL, this is for LETTER C
