If we're solving for x:
First we have to add 3y to both sides.
2x - 3y + 3y = 8 + 3y
2x = 3y + 8
Last, we divide both sides by 2.
2x/2 = 3y+8/2
Answer: x = 3/2y + 4

If we're solving for y:
First, we have to add -2x to both sides.
2x - 3y + -2x = 8 + -2x
Last, we divide both sides by -3.
-3y/-3 = -2x + 8/-3
Answer: y = 2/3x + -8/3

I hope this helps! :>
