b. When you read this, you immediately get an ominous feeling. Now, we can immediately eliminate a because it really has nothing to do with the emotions being displayed by the author. C can also be eliminated because nobody said anything about "a rich general". And D makes some sense, but it's just too general, like, "Oooo! So spooky! But why is it haunted?" The more ominous reason would be that it claimed many lives.
"Greedy Lips." Why would the author use the word "greedy" to explain being haunted. No, the author's talking greedy like greedy for lives. Lots of figurative language in there but ultimately B should be the correct answer!
