The length of 2 sides on an isosceles triangle is 15. What is the range of possible lengths for the other leg? Explain.

The other leg must be > 0.
Also the third side must be less than the sum of the 2 equal sides.

So the range for the third side x is 0 < x < 30

Unless you meant that sum of the 2 equal sides is 15 in which case the answer is

0 < x < 15.
