Answer:

They strongly disapproved of the act is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Kansas Nebraska act was passed on May 30, 1854 to create the territory of Kansas and Nebraska. The most controversial thing about the Kansas Nebraska act was that it allowed the settlers of these territories to decide whether they wanted the slavery to continue in their state or not. this act was also used to revoke the Missouri compromise of 1820 which had banned the slavery north of the 36.30 Latitude. while the Northern states were against slavery upheld the Missouri compromise as a valid long term agreement but the southern states wanted to continue with the slavery and supported Kansas-Nebraska act.

The crowd for popular sovereignty met in Kansas to affect the vote and turn it into their favour but it turned into a bloody conflict. A new political party emerged due to this controversy known as Republican party and became the major party in the northern states, one of its member was elected President in 1860, who favoured the abolition of slavery.

The correct answer is A. They strongly disapproved of the act.

The act allowed the citizens of those states to choose by popular vote whether or not they will allow slavery in their countries, which meant that if they wanted, they could have slaves. They were non-slave states before that.
