Which expression is the correct translation of the following word phrase?

"3 multiplied by the sum of a number and 5"
Answer choices:
A) 5X+3

I think the answe is B ,but I think it could be A as well ,but I just need toconfirm if I'm correct or not.Thanks in advance:).
