This is an absolute value function centered at x=1 and opening downward

It has an absolute maximum at x=1 and y =1 ( 1,1)

The minimums are at the ends of the intervals (-6,-6) and at (2,0)

The (-6,-6) is the absolute minimum and (2,0) is a relative minimum

Find the absolute extrema of the function on the closed interval.y = 1 − |t − 1|, [−6, 2]minimum-example-1
