How to solve 2x+3y=9 and -4x-6y=-18

multiply the first equation by 2, then add it to the second equation.

2(2x+3y) = 2(9)
4x + 6y = 18
+-4x -6y = -18
----------------------
0 + 0 = 0
the equations describe the same line. infinite number of solutions
