1st balance C : C5H12 -> 5CO2
2nd balance H: C5H12 -> 6H2O
final balance O : (5x2+6)/2=8 -> 8O2
So answer is: C5H12+ 8O2 -> 5CO2+ 6H2O

Answer: [tex]C_5H_{12}+8O_2\rightarrow 5CO_2+6H_2O]/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. Thus the mass of products has to be equal to the mass of reactants. The number of atoms of each element has to be same on reactant and product side. Thus chemical equations are balanced.

Combustion is a type of chemical reaction in which fuel is reacted with oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water.

[tex]C_5H_{12}+O_2\rightarrow CO_2+H_2O]/tex]

The balanced equation will be :

[tex]C_5H_{12}+8O_2\rightarrow 5CO_2+6H_2O]/tex]
