The section of the Bill of Rights that says that any power that is not given to the federal government is given to the people or the states is the Tenth Amendment, or Amendment X of the United States Constitution. This part of the Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15, 1791. The 10th Amendment’s purpose is to give the definition of the establishment and division of power between the Federal government and state governments. This amendment does not only protect the Federal government but also protects powers from both entities. This amendment gives the definitions and policies regarding the federal taxing power, federal police power, and federal regulations.
